Cades Cove - A Place Of Beauty
No matter what time of year you are in the Great Smoky Mountains, you will find it is full of beauty and amazement.
What is amazing is the wonders you can find in one of the most popular part of the park, Cades Cove. The region has a sample of almost everything in the park, but also has it in a space you are sure to see almost all aspects of. What else is great about Cades Cover is the fact that it has plenty of trails for you to use, from those leading to the cabins, to those that will take you to the amazing waterfalls in the park.
Cades Cove is actually set down in a valley type area which will allow you to see the mountains go soaring above the cove. If you are visiting the Cove in the fall you are sure to have an amazing view of some fall foliage you are going to love.
Some people will love the fact this is a place in the park that has a one way road for them to take and it will be a historical road as it has stops at some of the cabins and early churches off of the trail, but also has some older wagon trails you can travel down as well.
It is important to make sure you are careful as the Cades Cove Loop is open to traffic of all types from the time the sun comes up to the time it goes down. As we said the road does have some exceptions at times for car traffic and that is typically when the road is meant only for bicyclist and hikers who can go on the road without worry of cars until ten in the morning. After ten, though, the vehicles are allowed back on the road. When you do take the car tour, make sure you set aside some time to stop at some of the observation points to take in some of the amazing scenes that are available. If you are a real go-getter, though, make sure you take your bike with you as this gives you the best chance for viewing paradise. Even if you do not have a bike, you may find they can be rented at the visitors center for a small fee.
